Jónsi : Time To Pretend (MGMT cover)

Jón Jósep Snæbjörnsson (aka Jónsi) is well known for being a member of the critically acclaimed Icelandic band, Sigur Rós. (Ring a bell, anyone?) Although anyone has yet to hear of a new album from Sigur Rós, fans have something pretty exiting to anticipate.

Come April 6th, Jónsi will be releasing a new (but solo) album titled Go and it will come with a limited edition box-set. This will be a follow-up to his album, Med Sud, but this one will be the first to be sung in English.

The Icelandic singer recently did a session on BBC Radio and performed a beautiful cover of MGMT's "Time To Pretend." If you wondered how Jónsi would sound singing English, this cover should be a good preview. Also, this rendition sounds a lot better than anything on MGMT's new album.... Check the cover out below!
