Blair: Rampage

Another artist I've really been digging for the last few months is Blair, an acoustic singer-songwriter and Brooklynite by-way-of Los Angeles. Her debut album, Die Young, (via Autumn Tone) is one of the funnest albums I have heard in a while. For those of you who think that god awful Ke$sha is fun, man, are you not listening to anything with substance!

With Blair, you do have substance - and plenty more. With catchy tunes like "Candy in the Kitchen," "Rampage" and "Hello Halo," she provides sweet vocals that are reminiscent of Mirah and songwriting structures similar to those that turned us onto Liz Phair back in the day. Die Young, (which we gave a glowing review of on BeatCrave), is packed with cohesive strengths that blend rock and indie pop together. The fun aspect derives from the innocence peeking out of the tall tales she sings.

Check out "Rampage" below! If you haven't already heard it, your Blair discovery is long overdue.
