Fool's Gold Music Video: Nadine

Vampire Weekend? Seriously - forget about them. I know I have ever since I discovered Fool's Gold. With members of Israeli, Iraqi, Argentinean, Brazilian and Mexican heritages who sing in half Hebrew and also boast musicians from Foreign Born, We Are Scientists and The Fall, they offer the best songs of African rhythms and melodies. It's only natural for a band whose ethnicity is so diverse.

They take it into another beautiful direction with their song, "Nadine," where they combine the sounds of early American R&B and Ethiopian music. The video directed by Adria Petty (Tom Petty's daughter), is classy as the song sounds - if not cooler. Filmed on the grounds of the famous Hollywood Forever Cemetery (although it may be hard to believe, they are an LA band), the video was shot in black and white as they put on a show for a small group of their closest friends.

Watch the video below and grab their hit track, "Surprise Hotel" from last year.
